Hello friends! If you are a big fan of Free Fire and love rushing, then this upcoming OB51 Update might turn out to be a nightmare for you. In this update, some of the most-used rusher characters are getting their abilities changed, and now there won’t be much benefit in using them. Today, we’ll talk one by one about all these changes.
Changes in Character Abilities After the Update
Like every update, this time too, not many characters’ abilities have been changed. But the ones that have been changed are done quite well. Let’s take a look one by one.
Rin’s Ability Buff
Let’s start with Rin, who is getting a buff. When you check her ability before and after OB51, both appear almost the same. She will summon one Kunai every 8 seconds, and up to 3 Kunai can be summoned at once, which can damage either enemies or Gloo Walls.

However, the real change is in the Kunai hit timing. Before the update, it took more time to hit, but after the update, the hit timing will be reduced. That means, as soon as you fire at a Gloo Wall or an enemy, the Kunai will hit instantly without delay.
However, if the enemy moves to cover after taking damage, the Kunai will hit the wall instead. In my opinion, this ability still isn’t very effective.
Ford’s Ability Nerf
Next change is in Ford, whose ability has been nerfed. Before the update, if you used his ability, it would recover 10 HP per second, restoring 40 HP in 4 seconds.

But after the update, it will only recover 30 HP in 3 seconds. In short, Ford will now recover less HP. This will definitely affect Rushers, as many players used to pick Ford because he could heal quickly. After the update, his usage will likely decrease.
Kairos’s Major Nerf
The biggest change is coming to Kairos, who was already nerfed in the previous update and is getting nerfed again in this one. After the update, he will recover 2 EP per second and consume 20 EP per second after dealing damage; this part remains the same.

But earlier, the damage to the enemy’s shield points or armour was 120%, which is now reduced to only 90%. That means after the update, Kairos’s ability will consume EP faster, and the damage to enemies will also be lower. It was already weak, and now it’s becoming even worse.
Now, the question is, after the update, will Kairos still be better than Hayato or worse? We’ll find out only after the update.
So these are the three characters whose abilities are changing in the OB51 update.
New Active Character: Nero
After the update, a new active character named Nero will be added to the game. His ability creates a plushie effect (like a toy) with 150 HP for 12 seconds. In BR mode, it can travel up to 100 meters.

If there’s any nearest enemy within 8 meters, it will track them. Then it will create an 8-meter radius zone where neither your Gloo Wall nor the enemy’s Gloo Wall can be placed.
Enemies inside the area will take continuous damage per second, up to 12 damage. Also, whoever destroys your plushie will be marked for 5 seconds. The cooldown time will be 45 seconds.
These are all the changes in characters that you’ll see after the OB51 Update.
