Hey Survivors! Welcome Back! The new BR Ranked Season in Free Fire has officially kicked off, and with it, Garena has introduced major changes to several character abilities. Some characters have received strong buffs, while others have been nerfed to maintain game balance.
In this article, we’ll take a deep dive into all the updated abilities, see who’s now stronger than ever, and which characters could shift the meta this season. So let’s get right into it!
1. Chrono – Massive Buff Incoming!

Chrono has received one of the biggest buffs this update, making him a top-tier pick again for competitive and esports matches.
- Shield HP: Increased from 800 → 1000
- Shield Duration: Increased from 8 sec → 10 sec
- Cooldown: Reduced from 75 sec → 60 sec
Impact: Chrono’s shield is now stronger and lasts longer. The reduced cooldown allows it to be used more frequently. He’s going to be a solid pick for tactical and defensive players. This buff brings Chrono back into the spotlight for ranked and tournament play.
2. Orion – Slightly Faster Now
A minor tweak that improves Orion’s movement during fights.
- Movement Speed Reduction: Reduced from -10% → -5% when ability is active
Impact: This change isn’t huge, but in tight battles, it can make a difference. It gives Orion users more agility while staying in their invincible form, helping you escape or chase more effectively.
3. Clu – More Aggressive Than Ever

Clu just got faster when scanning enemies, making her a deadly option for aggressive players.
- Movement Speed Boost: +10% speed during ability
- Chip Card Bonus: Also gives +10% movement speed
Impact: This makes Clu a great pick for rush players. Faster movement during scans means she can close gaps quickly and finish enemies off with ease. If you love aggressive gameplay, Clu’s a great choice now.
4. Kassie – Enhanced Support Range
Kassie has become a better support thanks to wider range and faster healing.
- Bonding Range: Increased from 30m → 50m
- Break Distance: Increased from 50m → 70m
- HP Restore Speed: Now heals every 0.1 sec instead of 0.2 sec
Impact: K can now heal teammates from a much greater distance, making him even more useful in both Clash Squad and Battle Royale modes. If you’re facing a team with K, you’ll need to deal 400-500 damage to shut him down properly.
5. Dimitri – Stronger Revival Range

Dimitri just got better at reviving allies in tough situations.
- Revive Range: Increased from 3.5m → 4m (total revive zone now 8m in diameter)
Impact: With a wider revive circle, Dimitri can support teammates more easily during clutch moments. Especially useful near cover, like Clock Tower tires (approx. 2m in size), this buff makes Dimitri more appealing for support-focused players.
6. Santino – Teleport Range Buffed
Santino just got a massive buff to his teleport range.
- Switching Range: Increased from 60m → 90m
Impact: In a typical match, 100m is considered a long distance. With 90m teleport range, Santino can now reposition faster than ever. If you play him right, he can be a game-changer. But be warned—if your enemy uses Santino, things can get tricky fast.
7. Skyler – Insta-Breaking Glue Walls

Skyler can now destroy glue walls almost instantly.
- Destruction Delay: Reduced from 0.5 sec → 0.1 sec
Impact: This makes Skyler deadlier than ever. Defensive players relying on glue walls will struggle against him. If you’re using glue walls to stall or defend, Skyler can break them before you blink.
8. Homer – Bigger Explosion Radius

Homer’s drone just got a small but important buff.
- Explosion Diameter: Increased from 5m → 5.5m
Impact: Homer’s drone now affects a slightly larger area. If you or your teammates are caught in it, you’re more likely to take damage. Pairing Homer with Moco can make enemy tracking super effective.
9. Tatsuya – Buff & Nerf Combo

Tatsuya’s ability has been adjusted—both positively and negatively.
- Cooldown: Increased from 60 sec → 120 sec
- Charge Store: Reduced from 2 charges → 1 charge
- New Feature: Ability now recharges after knocking down an enemy (like Wukong)
Impact: Tatsuya can now become deadly in 1v2 or 1v3 fights—get a knock and instantly recharge his dash. However, with longer cooldown and fewer charges, it’s slightly less forgiving. You’ll need to use his ability wisely.
10. Wukong – Major Nerf

Wukong has been nerfed to balance the gameplay.
- Cooldown: Increased from 90 sec → 120 sec
- Bush Movement Speed: Reduced by 10% while active
- Bush Duration: Reduced from 15 sec → 10 sec
Impact: Wukong is now slower and easier to target when disguised. The reduced duration and longer cooldown make him less overpowered. This update balances the game, but Wukong mains might not be too happy about it.
Who Got Stronger?
Characters like Chrono, K, Dimitri, Santino, Skyler, and Homer have received solid buffs and are now top picks for ranked push and competitive games.
Clu and Orion also got slight improvements, especially beneficial for aggressive players.
Who Got Weaker?
Tatsuya and Wukong faced nerfs that reduce their overall power. Wukong especially feels less effective now, so users will need to adapt or switch strategies.
Final Thoughts
Whether these changes are good or bad depends on your playstyle. If you’re a Wukong or Tatsuya main, you might be a bit disappointed. But if you love tactical or support gameplay, characters like Chrono, K, and Skyler are now stronger than ever.
